Welcome to Kentucky Saving Them Together

Fostering and adopting are critical to saving the lives of animals in our communities. Fostering provides dogs with a safe, loving environment outside of overcrowded shelters, allowing them to heal, socialize, and show their true personalities while freeing space to help more animals in need. Adoption gives these dogs a permanent home and a second chance at a stable, healthy life. Together, fostering and adopting reduce shelter overcrowding, improve animal welfare, and create stronger, more compassionate communities where animals are treated with care and dignity.

Adopting a dog from KSTT

Thank you for considering adoption through KSTT. Our goal is to place every dog into a safe, loving home that fits their needs and personality.

KSTT is a foster-based rescue, which means our dogs live in foster homes while they receive medical care, socialization, and preparation for adoption. Because of this, we schedule meet-and-greets only after an adoption application has been approved.

If you are interested in adopting, please complete the adoption application in full. Incomplete applications cannot be processed.

The adoption fee is $350, which helps cover veterinary care, vaccinations, spay/neuter, and other medical needs the dog received while in rescue.

To ensure the safety and well-being of all animals, we ask that current pets in the home are up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick prevention, heartworm prevention, and are spayed or neutered. If there are medical circumstances that prevent this, please include documentation from your veterinarian with your application.

Submitting an application does not guarantee approval or placement with a specific dog. Some dogs receive multiple applications, and our priority is finding the best match for each dog and family. If a dog is placed with another applicant, your application may still be considered for future dogs.

KSTT is a volunteer-run organization, and response times may vary depending on the number of applications we receive. We appreciate your patience as our team works through each application carefully.

Thank you for choosing adoption and for helping give a rescue dog a second chance.
